Description

THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION NOTICE. In accordance with Office of Management and Budget Circular A-76 (Revised), Performance of Commercial Activities, May 29, 2003, this notice represents the formal public announcement of the Baseline Costs Report, COMPARE file Version 2.1 Software with supporting documentation for a public-private competition of administrative and management support services, including mail and correspondence, office automation, and technical library services for the Commander, Naval Air Systems Command performed at Naval Air Depot Cherry Point, NC (NADEP CHPT). The incumbent service providers affected by this public-private competition are approximately 68 DoD civilian positions. The Baseline Costs Report, COMPARE file Version 2.1 Software with supporting documentation have been posted to the Navy?s E-Solicitation website as required 5 May 2006. A standard competition will be conducted in accordance with the revised circular. The anticipated solicitation release date will be in October 2006. Prospective private sector and public reimbursable service providers will be encouraged to respond to the solicitation. The Department of Defense Competitive Sourcing Official is Mr. Philip Grone, Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Installations and Environment). The DoD Component Competitive Sourcing Official for the Department of the Navy is Mr. B. J. Penn, Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Installations & Environment). April 28, 2006 is the official start date for this public-private competition and the projected end date of the competition is 28 April 2007. The Contracting Officer and Agency Tender Official for this standard competition are Ms. Deborah P. Taylor and Mr. Dennis West, respectively.
