Description

National Geospatial Intelligence Agency intends to award a contract on a sole source basis with RDY Sales, Inc. to provide preventative maintenance of legacy mensuration equipment. The equipment consists of a wide variety of stereo comparators of differing manufactures McBain and Zeiss. Each comparator is an intricate combination of optical, mechanical, and electrical components requiring periodic realignment, adjustment and repair. RDY is the designer and manufacturer of the majority of the equipment, which was delivered to the Government in the 1980?s. RDY is the only company with the capability to maintain this equipment. Authority for this sole source procurement is under 10 U.S.C. 2403(c)(1) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. Firms that recognize that they can perform the required services described above are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer, and provide supporting evidence to the Contracting Officer within fifteen (15) calendar days after the date of publication. The final determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on any information provided is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources will be given full consideration. Only written responses will be considered.
