Description: The USDA Forest Service, Hiawatha National Forest, is advertising for the above project located on Doe Lake Road, Alger County, in the eastern upper peninsula of Michigan. This project is for the complete construction of a conspan bridge, constructing of approaches, paving those apporaches, signing, and installing erosion control features. The work is expected to begin in early July and must be completed by September 15, 2006. The estimated price range is between $400,000 and $500,000. A bid bond, performance bond, and payment bond is required. The solicitation will be a request for proposal, including technical factors in addition to price, resulting in a best value award. ORCA certification is required.
