Description
Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 5500 Armstrong Road, Battle Creek, Michigan, has a requirement for Home Sleep Studies including Physician Interpretation Services and Sleep/Titration Studies. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, supplies, equipment, consultation, assistance, and expertise to perform unattended diagnostic sleep apnea studies and sleep/titration studies in the homes of all patients referred by the VAMC, Battle Creek, Michigan. The contractor shall provide sleep studies to an unlimited number of patients referred by the VA simultaneously. No limitation shall be placed on the number of veterans provided a sleep study. The VA may refer as many veterans as desired, including those patients requiring immediate testing due to medical necessity or policy. The contractor shall have a plan in place to schedule 84 Home Sleep Studies within 5 business days of contract award, representing the number of backlogged sleep study requests pending immediate scheduling and be prepared to schedule an additional 89 Home Sleep Studies within 30 days of the contract award, representing the number of backlogged sleep study requests awaiting resubmission by the primary care provider. The contractor shall have a plan in place to schedule up to 84 Sleep/Titration Studies within 30 business days of contract award, as necessary, and be prepared to schedule 89 Sleep/Titration Studies within 60 days of contract award, as necessary. Upon completion of the backlog studies, the contractor shall arrange for the scheduling of routine sleep studies, estimated at 20 per month, covering three nights and routine sleep/titration studies, estimated at 7 per month, covering four nights, within 5 business days of the receipt of the referral. All routine sleep studies and sleep/titration studies shall be performed within 30 calendar days of initial referral from the VA. Contractor shall provide a FDA-approved and clinically validated portable test device for sleep apnea testing at the residence of any VA-referred veteran. No geographic restriction shall be placed on any veteran to be tested. Testing and requirements for home sleep studies shall include, but not limited to: oral/nasal airflow, apneas and hypopneas, pulse oximetry, lead detection, mouth breathing, snoring, body position, and heart rate. A Respiratory Therapist or a Registered Polysomnongraphic Technologist that shall perform analysis of all home sleep study test data and forward to a board certified/board eligible polysomnongraphy physician for interpretation of test data. THIS ACQUISITION IS 100% SETASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS. NAICS Code is 621498. The size standard: $9M in average annual revenues for preceding three years.
