Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Joint Task Force, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba is soliciting proposals for the following requirement (Same As or Better): Twelve (12) standard 8X10sheds meeting or exceeding FEMA publicatio n 320 specifications for a safe room. Outside dimensions: 8 foot wide X 10 foot long X 8 foot 4 inches high at the peak. Base: 6 inches thick concrete with ? inch and ? inch rebar. Walls and Roof: 4 inch thick concrete with ? inch rebar 12 inches on cente rs in both directions. Roof support Beam: Concrete 6 inch wide X 12 inch high X 10 foot long with ? inch rebar. All rebar to be grade 60 (60,000 PSI tensile strength). All concrete to be minimum 5000 PSI 28 day compressive strength. Door: 2 inches X 36 i nch X 75 inch constructed of 3/16 inch steel with eight (8) 3/16 inch horizontal stiffeners. Latches/Hinges: Three (3) commercial grade ball bearing hinges with three (3) latches opposite the hinges. Roof Surface: Sealed exposed aggregate. Interior: Portla nd cement stucco, painted white. Ventilation: Consists of four (4) pressure relief openings, 5 inch in diameter located two (2) on each end, each side of center roof support beam. Vent covers: 3/16 inch steel to prevent debris entry (set of four furnished with each unit). FOB Destination is Jacksonville, Florida 32226. Payment will be made by Government Credit Card under Net 30 Terms.
