Description
THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. The Naval Air Systems Command, PMA-207D2, Patuxent River, MD intends to hold an INDUSTRY DAY Conference. The goal of the conference will be to gather potential industry feedback in regards to the Commercial Air Services (CAS) tanking operations and to provide information to industry regarding government CAS aircraft configuration and mission requirements. The CAS program provides contractor owned and operated aircraft to United States Navy (USN) Fleet customers and other DoD agencies for aerial refueling services of USN aircraft. The program office will discuss the types of aerial refueling missions including, but are not limited to, dragging aircraft from one location to another, aerial refueling support during exercises and Navy pilot training. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) representatives will be in attendance to explain FAA requirements for providing aerial refueling services to the US Navy aircraft. In addition, Navy Flight Clearance Office representatives will be presenting process information concerning Interim Flight Clearance requirements for each Navy aircraft participating in aerial refueling evolutions. Contract type, quantities of items, and contract duration will not be discussed during the Industry Day Conference. This information will be set forth and provided within a Request for Proposal. The conference is scheduled to be held on 20 June 2006 at the Holiday Inn, Solomons, Maryland, 410-326-6311, from 0900 to 1600 (Eastern Standard Time). Parties interested in attending the conference are encouraged to contact Ms. Theresa Boswell via e-mail theresa.boswell@navy.mil. The alternate Point of Contact is: Ms. Jeanne Birrane, e-mail jeanne.birrane@navy.mil. All interested parties, please provide the following information: Organization name and address, primary Point of Contact (POC), phone/fax and e-mail of the primary POC. Vendors that RSVP prior to 16 June 2006 will be provided the opportunity to register for a one-on-one meeting with the program office. This is an opportunity for vendors to provide more information about their individual companies. THE INDUSTRY DAY CONFERENCE IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT, NOR WILL THE GOVERNMENT PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED OR FOR ANY TRAVEL RELATED EXPENSES.
