Description
The VA Healthcare Network Upstate New York at Syracuse intends to make a sole source award for an abdominal aortic aneurysms endovascular stent graft system. The justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Negotiations will be held directly with the manufacturer of the Zenneth AAA endograft system, Cook Incorporated, PO Box 4195, Bloomington, IN 47402. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Offerors who request a copy of the solicitation and/or simply provide a statement that they can provide the required items will not be considered. Responsible sources may respond by submitting information identifying their capability to suppply such a product with adequate technical information for the Government Evaluation. This information shall only be considered if clear and convincing evidence is provided that the offeror can meet the requirements of the Government. Proposed products must be able to meet the following criteria (1) Component of the ancillary kit must be able to be used with any other brand of graft already implemented (2) Kit should provide endograft components that address intraoperative complications or unexpected arteriographic findings (3) Ancillary kit must be able to treat patients requiring leg extensions, main body extensions, and have a converter and plug for conversion to an Aorto Unilateral LLiac Graft and (4) Kit shall be approved by the FDA to be used as a repair tool for all endografts currently on the market. Information submitted shall include technical and pricing data. This notice of intent is not a request for proposal, however, all responses received before June 2, 2006 will be considered.
