Description

BALL SCREW ASSEMBLY: NSN: 1005-01-190-3316; P/N: 12317178; The assembly consists of the following major, metallic parts: the Ballscrew, P/N 12292857; Gear, P/N 12292430; Pin, P/N MS171595; Two Straps, P/N MS3367-1-0. General Description: The Assemb ly has a right hand ball threaded groove with a 1.500 inch ball circle diameter, a 0.2500 inch lead, and 0.156 inch diameter ball, with two circuits of 3.5 turns X 13.134 inch long. The Ball Screw also has a 69 tooth Spur Gear pinned to the Ball Screw. D iameter of Spur Gear is 4.434 inches X 4.197 inches long. This Assembly is a component of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. The solicitation is expected to result in a fixed price contract for 36 Assemblies, and one option quantity for up to 100% of the init ial quantity. Delivery terms are FOB Destination. Packaging is Military level B, one each. The estimated Request For Quotation (RFQ) issue date is 09 June 2006. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, ther efore, hardcopies of the RFQ or other solicitation documents will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https//aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/ind ex.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interes ted parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments that may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes/proposals may render your offer nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. This solicitation is restricted as a total small business set aside. Offers from concerns that are other than small business are not solicited.
