Description

The Northern Region Contracting Center-Leavenworth has a requirement for approximately 372 Office Workstations, 146 Lateral File Cabinets and 8 Metal Bookcases. Location: Lewis and Clark Center, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, 66027. The work consists of f urnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to produce or acquire and install workstations. Quantity of workstation configurations may vary as the project progresses, quantities per configuration are estimates, any variation for the total numbe r of workstations is projected to be minimal. The total of 372 workstations, consists of approximately 232 single stations 6ft x 8ft, 90 two person stations varying in size from 6ft x 13ft to 8ft x 12ft, 48 four person stations 22ft x 9ft, and two 6ft x 7f t extended countertops. General characteristics are: laminate work surfaces, modular style panels, vinyl edges, overhead storage, box files and appropriate task lights, pencil trays, connectors, base plate covers and trim pieces. The total of 146 lateral file cabinets consist of 46 three drawer and 100 four drawer cabinets. This will be a Request for Proposal. The solicitation will be issued under FAR Part 13.5,Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. Delivery will be FOB destination. Award will be made based upon best value to the government. Evaluations will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items. The solicitation package will be posted on the Federal Business Opportuni ties website FedBizOpps which can be accessed at http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about, June 20, 2006. The specific closing date for proposal submissions date will be stated in the solicitation package. The government will not provide paper copies of the s olicitation package, facsimile, telephone, written or email requests for the solicitation package will not be honored. Prospective offerors are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOpps website for release of the solicitation package and downloading their own copy of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information. This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract nor does it obligate to government to pay for any proposal preparation costs.
