Description

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) intends to award a non-competitive, sole source purchase order to Allentown Caging Equipment Co 165 Route 526 P.O. Box 698 Allentown, NJ 08501-0698 FDA will purchase 1 140 Cage Micro-Vent Environmental Unit, Supply Blower, Exhaust Blower, and Cardholder. This equipment will be added to existing equipment manufactured by the contractor and will increase the holding capacity at the animal facilities at FDA. The acquisition must be from a specified source, Allentown Caging Equipment Co. because the item in question conforms to the consistency, efficiency, economy, and operation of the animal facility. The Allentown model is the only vendor consistent with the existing type of automatic watering apparatus currently used. NO REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of providing the required service as stated herein may submit a capability statement to document its ability to provide the required services, which will be considered if received by the tenth (10th) calendar day following the appearance of this announcement. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses or questions regarding this posting must be in writing and can be sent via email to Joseph.Pishioneri@fda.hhs.gov. No phone calls will be accepted. An award will be made in fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of this notice. This sole source procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition for commercial items in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5.
