Description
This acquisition is for a Red Dot Corporation Air Conditioning Condenser Assembly which supports of the High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV). The part number is P/N RD-4-5877-0P or NSN 4140-01-521-5780. The exact product is required. A five year Long Term Contract is being contemplated with a two year base and three options. The estimated quantity for the 2 year base is 225 each and the estimated quantities for the option years are 115 each. The total estimated contract value for the 5 year period is $346,700. Delivery is to be to the stock depot, New Cumberland, PA. Delivery is requested ninety (90) days after the date of award. The intended source is Red Dot Corporation. Red Dot is the sole developer and manufacturer of the Government unique condenser, which is manufactured as part of a Government unique air conditioning system. Sole Source acquisition procedures will be used since the Government does not own the Technical Data Package required to compete the exact part. See Note 22 and 26. Alternate offers would have to be qualified as acceptable replacements for the existing NSN. The estimated solicitation issue date is 23 June 2006. The estimated award date is 28 November 2006. This procurement is subject to Trade Agreements Act, DFARS 252.225-7020 and 252.225-7020. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by DLA-DSCP. The solicitation will not become available until the solicitation issue date.
