Description
The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistic Center intends to issue a solicitation and award a requirement type contract, with a base year and four (one year) option periods for the purchase of fire pump assembly for the 378? Coast Guard Cutters. The solicitation will be issued on a brand name or equal basis using the brand name Blackmer System One. The following is the list of items that will be purchased: (1) Fire Pump Assembly - Brand Name: Blackmer System One P/N 03/801FMP010 or equal. The salient characteristics for this item are as follows: Coupled horizontal end-end suction centrifugal pump assembly with base plate, couplings, C-frame motor adapter and electric motor as a single assembly. Dimensions: Overall height: 23.25 inches, overall width: 18 inches, overall length 64 inches. Service: Fire pump. Capacity: 500 GPM. Head: 288 Ft. NPSHR: Less than 15 ft. Pump Material: CD4MCU Casing and Impeller IAW ASTM F998. Motor: 3500 RPM, 440VAC, 3-phase, 60 hertz, 364TSC frame, 1.15 service factor, TEFC, C-faced, IAW IEEE-45 and NEMA MG-1. Pump shaft L3/d4 ((shaft overhang length)3/(shaft diameter)4 ratio: 17. Pump seal: AW Chesterton 180-15 (1.875?) mechanical seal with carbon/sintered silicon carbide faces & EP elastomers. Pump spare parts kit: Pump shall utilize parts found in Pan Pacific Pump Spare Parts Kit No. 03/801SPA008 or equal. The spare parts kit shall contain the following parts as a minimum: Power End P/N 099624 (System1 LD17); Mechanical Seal P/N 637305 (Chesterton 180-15 CB/SSC/EP); Case Gasket P/N 363409 (Chesterton .006 Carbon fibre/Nitrile); Impeller o-ring P/N 098296 (Teflon). Estimated quantities: 9 each for the base year through third option year; estimated quantity 6 each for the fourth option year. (2) Data for Provisioning (DFP) only required in the base year and (3) Testing Certification. In addition, the contractor will also be required to provide Engineering Documentation Package (EDP) with their quotation. The resultant contract is to be a requirements contract with a base and four option years. Delivery will be F.O.B. Origin to various locations, which will be identified in the solicitation. Delivery schedule for the pumps and test certification shall be 70 calendar days after issuance of Delivery Order; The DFP shall be delivered 30 calendar days after issuance of delivery order and the EDP shall be submitted with the contractor?s quote. Any Contractor offering an ?or equal? shall be required to provide literature which addresses all salient characteristics. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOps on or about June 27, 2006. This is an estimated date only and it is the contractor?s responsibility to check FedBizopps on a regular basis for the solicitation and any amendments issued.
