Description
This is a Request For Information Notice Only. This is a survey to locate potential sources of supply for Collapsible Reusable Shipping & Storage Containers. The containers should possess the following characteristics: Variable Sizes Capacity: 1500 Lbs. Dynamic Superimposed Weight 3000 Lbs. (stack 3 high) Static Superimposed Weight 4500 Lbs. (stack 4 high) Required Features: ? Collapsible (compression ratio of 3 Threshold, 4 Goal) ? RFID Capable ? Reusable/Durable Limited Reuse (Threshold 10 trips, Goal 50 trips) ? Interfaces with JMIC (Fits/Interlocks/Stacks/Supports/transportable/positionally interchangeable) * ? VERTREP/CONREP Capable (i.e. interface with MK105 sling legs) * ? 4-way fork truck accessible ? Stackable (2 high dry, 120oF, 3 high Ambient (<100 oF/90%RH) Dynamic and 4 high Ambient (<100 oF/90%RH) Static ? 4-way Hand Pallet Truck compatible ? Interlockable (with itself and JMIC) * ? Cover must lock on if detachable, and same for walls and base ? Lightweight (160 Lbs. Threshold, 110 Lbs. Goal) ? No special tools to assemble or collapse ? Top Liftable (Stack of 2) with Mk 105 sling legs * ? Weather resistant (rain/snow/ice/hot/cold ? define specifics) ? Resistant to environmental pest/insects (cannot harbor and sustain pests) ? Allows single lift of 2 containers/JMIC?s * ? Has minimal parts/components ? Assembly Time of less than 2 minutes with 2 people Desirable: ? Recyclable ? Requires no consumables to secure (elimination of FOD) ? Sling compatible (positive lock) * ? Maintains footprint upon collapsed ? Drop down or removable sides or doors when stacked ? Must withstand climate conditions (-20 oF to + 140 oF) ? Captive forklift pockets - Probably not realistic for a plastic pallet base if nestable * ? Capable of being built in various heights/Colors ? Flame resistant ? Single person can assemble and handle when empty. This is NOT a Request for Proposal, Request for Quote or Invitation for Bid.
