- This is not a request for either a quote or proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this sources sought notice is to identify potential offerors for Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Fire Protection Systems for FISC, on Oahu, Hawaii. The work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, and management necessary to provide maintenance and repair services for fire protection systems. Work includes the performance of service call work to make repairs to return systems to proper operation, indefinite quantity work to make certain specific repairs, preventive maintenance inspections, and other services as described herein. a. The systems and equipment to be serviced under the contract include: (1) Fire Extinguishing Sprinkler Systems (Wet Pipe) (2) Fire Extinguishing Sprinkler Systems (Deluge & Preaction AFFF) (3) Fire Pump System (4) Foam Extinguishing Systems (5) FM-200 Fire Extinguishing Systems (6) Fire Alarm and Detection System (Local) (7) Fire Alarm Systems Radio Type b. The Contractor shall meet all fire protection system licensing and qualification requirements of the State of Hawaii. In addition the Contractor shall demonstrate that he/she has continuously performed this type of work for a period of not less than five (5) years. All work shall be performed by personnel specifically qualified and trained to work on fire protection systems and equipment. The contract term will be a base period of one year plus four option years. The total term of the contract, including all options, will not exceed 60 months. The NAICS Code for these services is 561621 and the annual size standard is $11.5 million. Interested sources capable of providing the required services must respond by e-mail to sandy.sekiguchi@navy.mil no later than July 5, 2006. Interested sources shall indicate that they are capable of providing the required services and must indicate their size status (i.e., small business, 8(a), HUBZone, service disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB)). No other information is required at this time. Based upon the responses received, the Government will determine the set-aside method for the procurement. This sources sought announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. An award will not be made on responses to this notice. This Sources Sought Synopsis is not a Request for Proposal (RFP); it is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of sources prior to issuing an RFP. The solicitation will utilize source selection procedures which will require offerors to submit a technical and price proposal for evaluation by the Government.
