Description
A site visit was conducted at Air War College, Bldg 1401, Maxwell AFB AL 36112 on 30 Jun 2006 to give contractors an opportunity to view the requirement for a prototype room of U-shaped seminar foom furniture. As a result of the site visit, the following nine (9) questions were submitted. Both the question and answers are: 1) What type 'grade' of furniture do you require? (lower-end, mass-produced furniture or the higher-end scale of premium grade furniture) answer: request a high grade, sturdy, professional wood furniture. 2) Do you want a 'standard size' configuration for all 20 seminar rooms? answer: Yes, the other 19 rooms (if later approved and budgeted) will be exactly the same as the prototype room furniture. 3) Will the floor plan be the same regarding electrical outlets on the floor for computers and Local Area Network (LAN) cables? answer: yes, the floor plan remains unchanged. 4) Do you want a woodgrain look, versus metal? answer: yes, a professional wood look. 5) Can the tables be pre-wired? answer: yes, as long as a wire management system is provided per the Statement of Work. 6) Do you want to close the space on either side of the instructor's table? answer: no, space remains so instructor can enter "U" shaped area with ease to carry on dialog with students. 7) Will all rooms have installation on 2nd floor? answer: yes, all seminar rooms are on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator service. 8) What size samples should be provided? answer: a 12" by 12" size would give a good example to be evaluated. 9) What is the delivery/installation due date after contract is awarded answer: The desired period of performance is 15 days after receipt of contract. Award date is on or about 24 Aug 06 and Air War College would accept a date for the prototype room to be no later than 15 Sep 06. There are no further questions to this requirement.
