- Description
- The Rocky Mountain Network, VISN 19 Contracting Officer, intends to negotiate with Smith Medical for 30 CADD Prizm PCS II pumps for use at the Eastern Colorado Health Care System, Denver facility. The CADD Prizm PCS II was chose through a series of product evaluations conducted over the past several months. Any company who feels they have an item equal to this must provide descriptive literature demonstrating that their system can provide the following functions: 1) must be able to provide both PCA and epidural delivery, 2) must be FDA approved, 3) must utilize cassettes for PCA delivery - syringe delivery will not be acceptable, 4) must provide epidural delivery with lock boxes, 5) must have a lockout system to ensure patient safety, 6) must be small and light weight to facilitate the ability of the pump to detach from pole and move with patients, 7) keypad must be easy to use and the screen must be easy to read and 8) the system must have specific software that assists in the reduction of medication errors. In order to be considered for evaluation, you must have your literature submitted to the Contracting Officer no later than close of business on July 13, 2006. You may e-mail your literature (all literature must be in a format compatible with Windows XP operating system) to brenda.birks2@va.gov; or mail your documents to Brenda S. Birks, Contracting Officer, Rocky Mountain Network, VISN 19 Contracting, 4100 E. Mississippi Avenue, Suite 1110, Glendale, CO 80246. Packages received after July 3, 2006 will not be considered for evaluation. In addition to descriptive literature, vendors who feel they can provide an equal product must be willing to provide a unit for full evaluation.
