Description

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division San Diego, CA is conducting market research on standard commercial practices for elevator preventive maintenance and repair to determine if commercial items are available to meet the Government?s needs. Service requirements include the following for 318 Vertical Equipment Transportation: A)Respond to Routine and Emergency service calls 365 days a year, B) Perform monthly preventive maintenance of 318 VTE, C) Perform Annual Inspections and Test/Witnessed of 318 VTE, and D) Perform 5-year load and safety tests as required. VTE may include the following types: 1. Passenger Elevators 2. Freight Elevators 3. Escalators 4. Dumbwaiters 5. Interior/Exterior Stair-Chair Lifts 6. Dormant Elevators 7. Interior/Exterior Elevators 8. Incline and Vertical Wheelchair Lifts 9. Material Lifts 10. LULA (Limited use, limited application elevators) THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) AND A CONTRACT AWARD WILL NOT BE MADE FROM THE ATTACHED QUESTIONNAIRE. WE ARE REQUESTING ASSISTANCE FROM THE COMMERCIAL INDUSTRY IN THE PREPARATION OF A ELEVATOR MAINTENANCE & REPAIR SERVICE CONTRACT.
