- Remotely Operated Weapon System (Gun and Ammunition) for Ground Vehicles PM FCS (BCT) is seeking sources and information for a remotely operated weapon system for FCS manned and unmanned ground vehicles. The weapon system should be compatible with existing Remote Weapons Stations (RWS) with little or no modification. The gun system should be capable of engaging stationary or moving lightly armored vehicles and troops standing or defilade or demonstrate growth to that capability. The gun system should have the following attributes, or a demonstrable growth path to achieve these capabilities: - Maximum envelope size of 62 in x 16in x 16in - Weigh no more then 85 lbs (gun and controls) - Recoil force no greater then 1000 lbs. - Crew selectable, dual-feeder - Ability to fire fuzed programmable ammunition - Automatic weapon loading with a manual back-up - If externally powered, 28VDC not to exceed 30 amps continuous operation and 60 amps peak - High System Reliability - Operational Availability greater than 95%. - Maintenance ratio of 0.0005 maintenance man-hours per operational hour (desired) Potential sources are requested to submit, at a minimum, the following information. Integration Risk Potential sources are advised that any information provided may be assessed by employees of the FCS LSI (Boeing/SAIC) and potentially FCS One Team Partner employees. No information will be released outside the Government until a Non- Disclosure Agreement is executed between the offeror providing the information and the non-Government participants to the assessment process. Offerors should indicate whether such an agreement is already in place or include their proposed NDA sample as part of their submission package. Offerors should ensure that any material/data that is provided is marked appropriately to ensure proper handling of all information.
