Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Western-Pacific Region intends to award a negotiated contract for the sale and installation of office furniture (approx 57 offices, conference rooms, break rooms, etc.) and other related items for it's new Air Traffic Control Tower and TRACON located at 3548 E. Sky Harbor Blvd, Phoenix, AZ 85034. Multiple awards can/may result from this solicitation for the various project elements. Offerors be advised that the FAA is exempt from soliciting from GSA mandatory Federal Supply Schedule contracts, but it is still eligible for GSA FSS pricing. The solicitation will be issued on a full and open competition basis without business size or minority status classification a consideration for award. The FAA will solicit directly from furniture dealers located in Maricopa County, Arizona in order to have a local contract for on-site furniture issues that may arise during delivery/installation. The Federal Prison Industries (UNICOR) is an exception to this requirement. The FAA requires contractor to provide storage, delivery and off-loading of furniture to site. Contractor will also be required to transport and off-load existing furniture from existing old facilities to new facility. Delivery at site and start of installation is required on September 11, 2006 and be complete ready for use within 10 working days. Issuance of the Request for Offers package (RFO, DTFAWP-06-R-00485) is expected to be on or about July 31, 2006. Offerors who are geographically acceptable, responsive, qualified, past performance acceptable, responsible and able to meet critical dates will be evaluated for Best Value. The FAA is not required to award to the lowest offeror. Interested parties located within the stated geographical area may request a RFO package by contacting Mr. James L. Telephone requests will not be honored. All requests must be received in this office no later than 2:00 PM (west coast time) on July 21, 2006.
