- Description
- This proposed procurement is 100% set aside for small business. The Government intends to procure through Simplified Acquisition Method (commercial items). NAICS 325188; small business size standard 1,000 employees. Provide approximately 650 tons of orthophosphate to the Dalecarlia Water Treatment Plant and 390 tons to the McMillan Water Treatment Plant. The Orthophosphate supplied shall contain no soluble material or organic substances in quantities capable of producing deleterious or injurious effec ts on the health of those consuming water that has been treated properly with the orthophosphate products. Orthophosphate shall be certified as suitable for contact with or treatment of drinking water by an accredited certified organization in accordance with ANSI/NSF Standard 60, Drinking Water Chemicals - Health Effects. Orthophosphate shall function as a corrosion inhibitor to reduce corrosion of cast iron pipes, lead service lines, copper pipes and fittings. Product shall not precipitate out during nor mal handling and storage. Period of performance is one year, 1 October 2006 through 30 September 2007. The total estimated amount is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be t he internet only. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge, to all authenticated account holders of Federal Technical Data Solution System (FedTeDS) - a one-time registration process is required for vendors/ contractors. Ac counts may only be attained by CCR-registered contractors/vendors - go to www.fedteds.gov for additional information.
