Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, intends to make a sole source award to Fresenius USA Marketing, Inc., 95 Hayden Avenue, Lexington, MA, 02420. This requirement is to upgrade the existing Hemodialysis machines at the United States Medical Center for Prisoners (USMCP), Springfield, Missouri. This is for the acquisition of twenty-six (26) Model 2008K Dialysis Machines with CMS-208K Bedside Screens and Keyboards, and a FDS08 Computer System. The NAICS Code is 334510. Salient characteristics of the requirement will be furnished upon request. To the best of our knowledge, these products can only be purchased from Fresenius USA Marketing, Inc. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, as no solicitation document is available. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within ten (10) calendar days from the date of this published synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, Field Acquisition Office, Attn: Kelly S. Kelly, U.S. Armed Forces Reserve Complex, 346 Marine Forces Drive, Grand Prairie, Texas, 75051. Responses received will be evaluated, however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, USMCP Springfield will proceed with the sole-source negotiated award to Fresenius USA Marketing, Inc.
