Description

Provide Architect-Engineer (A/E) services to design replacement of the elevators in Building 1 West at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan. This project will provide design services to replace the existing four (4) passenger and two (2) freight elevators. These elevators service every floor of the building from the Basement to the Ninth floors. The elevator replacement shall include but not be limited to: Elevator cars, elevator hoists, elevator controls, elevator doors, elevator call lights/buttons, and elevator lobby entrance. The project design will be phased to breakdown the elevator replacement into no less than two (2) and no more than six (6) separate projects. Construction cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Qualifications submitted by each firm will be reviewed and evaluated based on the following criteria: Experience with VA, other hospitals, or other Government agencies, experience with same type of work (i.e. renovation, utility system work, specialized equipment installation) and experience similar scale projects; professional qualifications of the staff to be assigned to the project, personnel on staff or consultants; professional capacity of the firm to accomplish proposed work within schedule time frames, quality of work and workload; location of the firm with respect to the Ann Arbor VA.
