- Description
- NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center (NASA's GSFC) has a requirement for Mission Assurance Services to extend the current contract for 6 month. NASA's GSFC intends to award a sole-source contract extension to SRS Technologies Information Services Division (SRS) pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source. This procurement is to extend Contract NAS5-00241 for up to 6 months and increase the maximum ordering value, in support of NASA's GSFC Office of Systems Safety and Mission Assurance (OSSMA). The extension will be structured as a 3-month basic period and three 1-month option periods. The current contractor provides the following services to NASA's GSFC OSSMA: personnel, materials and facilities to provide Mission Assurance Engineering Services, System Safety Services, Reliability Services, Continuous Risk Management Services, and Information Technology Services. These services provide a wide range of support and are essential to the NASA's GSFC mission. This work relates to safety and is essential for mission success. SRS has managed the current contract for the past 5 years and has the infrastructure in place to provide these services on short notice, for the brief period of the extension. The current contractor has the experience, management skills, and trained personnel to carry out the day-to-day operations and meet required schedules. Due to the time and duplication of costs involved in procuring and phasing in another contractor, SRS is considered the only contractor that can meet NASA's needs given the minimal period of performance for the extension. Any other firms desiring consideration are requested to fully identify their interest and capabilities within 15 days of the date of publication of this synopsis to the NASA's GSFC Office and contact listed above. An Ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". Any referenced notes may be viewed at the following URLs linked below.
