- QUESTIONS & ANSWERS SITE VISIT TUESDAY JULY 25TH Q.Why is Knoll ???Morrison??? mock-up in Bldg 94 A. Not relevant to this Contract Q. Is this preference for Knoll A. Not relevant to this Contract Q. Will we all be able to show a mock-up A. Not relevant to this contract. Q. Department class location/position in floor plan # of people in each each cubicle/Dept? A. Assume Class means ???Level??? which is covered in each DO/Amendment. Q. What address should the Information /Bid be sent to if not electronically transmitted? A Picatinny Arsenal 10 Phipps Rd; Bldg 10 Dover, NJ 07806 Attn: Tim Jensen / Contracting Officer Q. Who prepares Wire Mgmt for Work Stations? A. Contractor as identified in SOW and each D.O. Q. Type of department & Locations, number of people in each room/dept in floorplan? A. Assume ???Departments & locations??? means ???level??? which is covered in each D.O.and Amendments. AMEND Refer to Section B of solicitation for all fiscal years and add the following measurements to the description of the following CLINS: ???0001 72???:High ???0002 72??? High ???0003 60???High ???0004 60??? High ???0005 60: High Q. Small Business Set Aside Section 52.212-1: ??? the small business size standard for a concern which submits an offer In its own name, but which proposed to furnish an item which it did not itself manufacture, is 500 employees.??? A. Yes, small business set aside 500 employees. Solicitation is incorrect. The amount is not 1,000. Q. What are the partition heights for level 2. A. Partition height for level 2 in the Amendment to Delivery Order #1 does not apply as the offices will be sheetrock, no furniture required. No level 2 furniture in either D.O.#1 or #2. Q. What are the partition heights for level 4? A. ???Typical??? height of panels is 60???. Q. Page 15 of the solicitation describes level 3 as 96??? high partitions and Level 5 as 80??? high partitions vs page 22 section 3.10.1 states ???all exterior partitions to be a minimum of 72??? high and all interior partitions to be a minimum of 60??? high-which statement should be should be followed? A. Typical panels under the solication for level 3 are 72??? high. Delivery Order #1 is not ???typicall???. Q. Are the Special Requirements described on page 22 for bldg 12 only? A. Yes Q. Will you be identifying the rooms and functional requirements for the valled offices in Bldg 12? A. All Requirements are identified in Delivery Order #2. Q. Page 26 Section B item 005 states ???Configured Set of 10???. Is this a cluster of 10 stations to be priced? A. Yes, as a unit price. Q. Will the labor requirement be for union labor or will non-union labor be allowed? Will it be prevailing wage labor rates? A. Non-Union is allowed. Q. At anytime during the contract, will there be a requirement for weekend work or work after 4pm? A. It is anticipated that all work will be required to be performed during regular business hours. Q. Is there a specific configuration plan as it relates to the number and location of certain stations, i.e. Level 3, level 4 and level 5 A. See SOW and Delivery Orders. The configuration is part of the evaluation as to whether or not the company is capable of handling the job. Q. Who is responsible for disassembly and removal of the existing or old furniture in the space covered by the initial protects and the entire contract period A. Read the SOW and Delivery Orders. It???s stated existing furniture is not part of this contract. Q. Are copies of the electrical and reflective ceiling plans and all similar scale drawings available to view or obtain, I order to determine placement of power poles and base feeds for buildings 12 and 94 A. No Q. What is the number and location estimate or requirement for copiers, network printers/fax and digital senders? Are there certain areas that require specific locations A. See Amendment for Bldg 12. Site visit for Bldg 94. Q. Bldg 94: Will the existing carpet remain? A. No. However, the carpet is not part of this solicitation. NOTE: Amendment to Section L, paragraph 3. In the line "The Offeror shall provide and submit with their offer two (2) sets of a typical office color scheme samples for Work Stations Furniture for government review and selection. Pleasre delete the word "scheme". For the proposed line of furniture, the Offeror must provide and submit the color samples that apply and will be available to the Government for selection that shall not affect the proposed cost. OFFER DUE DATE/LOCAL TIME IS 11:59PM 10 AUG 2006
