Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 17, Audie L. Murphy Division, 7400 Merton Minter Blvd., San Antonio, TX intends to negotiate and procure on a sole source basis from Given Imaging, Inc., 3950 Shackleford Rd, Suite 500, Duluth, GA, the following patented, proprietary, FDA approved gastro intestines imaging system. The systems consists of the Pillcam M@A capsule endoscope, a patented, single-use, ingestible video imaging capsule, the data recorder, and the proprietary Rapid workstation. This acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and IAW FAR 6.302-1, for Other than Full & Open Competition. This notice is not a request for offers. All proposals received by 4:00 P.M. Central Standard Time; August 8, 2006 will be considered by the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
