Description

Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for ALCON Laboratories, Inc., Annual Service Agreement for ALCON Cataract Extraction Units, Infiniti 210 System,6201 S Freeway, Fort Worth TX 76134-2001. The requested service agreement assists in meeting compliance with state and federal regulations, AAAHC and HIPAA requirements involved in maintaining medical equipment items for 55th Medical Group. The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because ALCON Laboratories, Inc. is the only provider on the market that is capable of performing the needed functions to service the ALCON Cataract Extraction Units, Infiniti 210 Systems. The procurement of this maintenance for the hardware and software support must be completed in a timely manner in order to meet mission requirements. Questions should be directed to Laurel A.
