- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is FM442761160773; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-11 and Defense DCN 20060711. This acquisition will be full and open competition, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423450. The business size standard is 100 Employees. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 6525. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 5047. This request for quotation consists of the following items or equal: Manufacturer is Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Item 0001: 1ea, Part# MSET9F ST, The system needs to have multiple biopsy holsters designed specifically for each application. One each for stereotactic, ultrasound and for MRI. The system needs to have both front and rear vacuum for increased sample size and consistency. The biopsy device needs to have multiple probe gauges up to and including 8G to provide samples up to 300mg. The biopsy system manufacturer needs to be able to provide no less than five different biopsy site markers to be able to easily differentiate one biopsy site from another. The biopsy system needs to provide individual sample visualization during the biopsy for visual analysis of each sample. The biopsy system manufacturer needs to provide a variable aperture sleeve for both probe sizes for stereotactic biopsies enabling biopsy of thinly compressed breasts.
