Description
Proposed Performance Objectives Sources Sought Notice 2006.237 Unit Water Pod System (Camel) 1. Description. The Camel will be the primary system for receiving, storing and issuing water within a unit. Units at all echelons throughout the battlefield will use the Camel. The Camel system consists of an 800  900 gallon potable water tank with a n integrated thermal regulating module mounted on a Medium Tactical Vehicle (MTV) M1095 trailer. The Camel will have freeze prevention and water chilling capability allowing operation in a wide range of climates. The Camel will replace the M107, M149 and M1112 400 gallon water trailer. The Camel increases water capacity, which is a key requirement of meeting projected water sustainment requirements of the Stryker Brigade Combat Team. 2. Yearly Requirement: 420-600 per year (15-20 years dependent upon funding availability) 3. Life Cycle Phase: System Development and Demonstration (SDD) Phase 4. Key Performance Parameters (KPPs); " Transport full and partial water loads " 800  900 gallon capacity " Maintain the potability of its water load over its Operational Mode Summary/Mission Profile (OMS//MP) " Meet/Exceed ANSI/NSF standards for chlorinated potable water contact and corrosion resistance 5. Unique Military Requirements " The payload shall be Nuclear Biological and Chemical survivable " Meet MIL-STD-461 radiated emissions " Water potability IAW TB MED 577 " Compatibility with FMTV 5 Ton trucks " Transportable by C-130 and larger aircraft " Transportable by CH-47 helicopter external " Operational from -25F to +120F.
