- Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), pending release of funds, intends to award a sole-source contract to The Boeing Company, 3370 E. Miraloma Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92803-4921. This contract will be awarded pursuant to USC 2304(c)(1). LMRS is a 21? diameter heavyweight Unmanned Undersea System Navy test asset. LMRS consists of a Recovery Arm, 2 Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (UUVs), shipboard deployed equipments (SDE), and Non-deployed shore support equipments (NSE) and is designed to be launched and recovered through the torpedo tubes on the Los Angeles class submarines. The purpose of this procurement is to refurbish the recovery arm, perform LMRS software upgrades, obtain WESRB re-certification, and operate the LMRS system in support of the UUVs Launch and Recovery demonstration on board an underway SSN.
