Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, (NAWCWPNS) Point Mugu, CA intends to negotiate and award a cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF), Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), level-of-effort (LOE) contract using other than full and open competition to McDonnell Douglas Corp., A Wholly-Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing Company, P.O. Box 516 S100-1287, St. Louis, MO 63166-0516, the designer and developer of the Tactical Aircraft Moving Map Capability (TAMMAC) system. Services will include engineering services and technical support necessary for the TAMMAC system as it evolves. The requirements include TAMMAC software and hardware and the associated interfaces with Mission Planning Systems (MPSs), and avionics systems. Services also include engineering and technical support for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers in support of TAMMAC for Naval Air Systems Command (PMA-209). The Government contemplates a contract for a base period of five years starting approx! imately 10 July 2006. It is planned to award the IDIQ contract with Task Order 0001 being issued concurrent with award. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any firm, other than Boeing St. Louis, should respond in accordance with Numbered Note 22. The RFP will be issued on or about 14 April 2006 and will be made available electronically upon its release at: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Some portions of the RFP may not be available electronically. It is the Offeror's responsibility to contact the Government Representative cited in the RFP in order to obtain paper copies of those portions of the RFP that are not available electronically. Offerors shall monitor this web site for the possible issuance of amendments through the closing date. All responsible sources may submit a proposal that shall be considered by the agency.
