- Description
- The Government intends to award a follow-on contract for the rental/lease of a specially modified/configured mobile office trailer at Beale AFB, California as a direct award to Pacific Mobile Structures Inc. This procurement is proceeding as a sole source award under FAR 13.106(b)(1). Pacific Mobile Structures Inc., a small business, is the contractor for the current rental/lease at Beale AFB. The trailer is currently being used to fulfill a sustained role to the 9th Reconnaissance Wing’s mission. The current acquisition to continue the trailer rental/lease is a follow-on contract necessary to maintain continuity of services and mission integrity while avoiding duplication of costs that are not expected to be recovered through competition. The downtime and costs that would be incurred by competing the requirement such as preparing to remove, removing, storing, and reinstalling the equipment into another office trailer are deemed not acceptable for mission capability and integrity. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 321991. The small business standard is 500 employees.
