Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this requirement is RMK0E060066 and is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition 2001-18. This requirement is set aside for small business with a NAICS Code of 561621 and the business size maximum is $6.0 million. The description of the service is: The contractor shall provide and install material and furnish all necessary equipment, materials, supervision, labor and transportation, and other services and deliver to the project site all material and equipment to meet the all current specifications to install a new fire alarm system for building 11 at Tuba City Boarding School in Tuba City, Arizona. Building 11 is used predominately as a classroom, library, and office space. Building 11 is a two story building and is considered eligible for historic register. Building 11 is approximately 10,156 SF for the first floor and approximately 11,543 SF for the basement floor. Building has an 8 foot higyh attic space for electrical raceway and conduits. The existing fire alarm network system at the school location consists of: Network Control Annunciator (NCA) for building #10. Notifier model # NFS 640 for all other buildings that is equipped with a fire alarm system. The central location where all networks report to is building #10. Building 11 is deficient of a working fire alarm network system with a multiplex addressable system. The school location requests that the new central panel for building 11 be tied into the main NCS ce3ntral panel located at building 10, which is located approximately 400 to 450 lineal feet from building 11. Aside from general components of a fire alarm system, the school location is requesting for four (4) exterior mounted emergency strobe lights for building 11. Quoters are encouraged to visit the project site to acquaint themselves with all existing conditions. Any award resulting from this request for quotations will be made to a responsive, responsible quoter. Quotes will be evaluated on a best value basis. Evaluation factors include past performance and price, with both being equal. Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Quoters are required to submit completed copies of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with their proposals along with a DUNS Number. FAR clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and does not include any addenda. FAR clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statures or Executive Orders, Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following clauses within 52.212-5(b) are applicable to this acquisition: 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.232-33. Required Central Contractor Registration and Department of the Interior Acquisition Regulation (DIAR) 1452.226-70 Indian Preference, DIAR 1452.226-71 Indian Preference Program, DIAR 1452.204-70 Release of Claims are applicable.
