Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to procure on a sole source basis the following: 48 ea ClearCube Model R1300 Blades; 32 ea. Model C7130 C/Port; 16 ea. Model C7450 Fiber C/Port; 6 ea. R4302 Bundles (4302/4345/4362/mount kit); 6 ea. R4387 8x8 Connect Module; 1 ea. Model F6100 Fiber Transceivers; 48 ea. CMS4 Bundles. The procurement is being processed through other than full and open competition pursuant to the stattory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with ClearCube Technology, Inc., Austin, TX and its authorized resellers for this requirement. This procurement is to provide the U.S. Joint Forces Command Standing Joint Force Headquarters (SJFHQ) access to those networks critical to SJFHQ training without the requirement to have physical computer boxes resident in the rooms. Additionally, this procurement will expand the existing 164 ClearCube blade computers to a 212 seats allowing the SJFHQ to utilize and expand the network infrastructure currently in place. ClearCube Technology, Inc. is the only supplier of fat/thin client desktop blade technology that supports integrated two way IP-based voice and data communications. Additionally, only ClearCube Technology fat/thin blades can be integrated into the existing ClearCube chassis. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by the specified response date. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes. However, the Government will consider information received by the specified response date. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this notice. The NAICS code is 423430 and the small business size standard is 100 employees.
