- This solicitation announcement (SIR) DTFASO-06-R-00040 is to notify interested parties in accordance with FAA AMS Clause 3.2.3. This action is 100% set-aside for Small Business. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Southern Region is soliciting competitive proposals for Establishment of The Remote Transmitter (RT), Covington, Kentucky. The work includes but is not limited to: The construction of a 20 feet x 40 feet spilt faced masonry building with associated mechanical, electrical and associated finishes to house electronic equipment; installation and compaction of site material and surface course; construction of five (5) freestanding antenna tower foundations; installation of government furnished material (GFM) towers; installation of PVC conduit and GFM heliax cables on the towers and underground to an existing building; installation of the building and antenna towers grounding system; and the construction and installation of all appurtenances to the aforementioned as specified and indicated by the drawings or required by the FAA standard specifications, at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Performance time: 90 calendar days. The price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Bid bond shall be 20% of proposal amount and submitted with proposal. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of contract price are required within 10 days after award. The NAICS code for this requirement is 237130, Communication Antenna Tower Construction.
