Description

This is a notice of intent to establish a medical records coding services contract in support of the Patient Administration Division of Moncrief Army Community Hospital, Ft Jackson, South Carolina. The requirement is for 3.25 full time equivalent Me dical Records Technicians, each with working knowledge of Ambulatory Procedure Groupings (APGs), Relative Value Units (RVUs), Diagnosis Related Groupings (DRGs), International Classification of Diseases-Version 9 (ICD-9), and Current Procedural Terminology -Version 4 (CPT-4) and be capable of providing medical records coding services. Knowledge of and ability to use DoD medical information systems such as Composite Health Care System (CHCS), Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), a nd Third Party Outpatient Collection System (TPOCS) is highly desirable. The government intends to award a commercial firm fixed-price labor hour contract with a base period of performance of 1 October 2006 through 30 September 2007 with four annual optio ns to cover fiscal years 2008 through 2011. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this agency. The request for proposal shall be posted to the FEBBIZOPS website on or about 1 September 2006.
