- This is a combined synopsis / solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is not a small business set-aside; any responsible source may submit an offer. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number M67400-04-T-0718 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. The NAICS code is 336991. The agency need is for: ITEM NO QTY UNIT 0001 2 Cycles MOTORCYCLES - FFP (2) motorcycles police models used for traffic control and law enforcement work. -The motor cycle must be capable of operating at speeds of kph. - It must posses outstanding handling characteristics, maneuverability and stability. - The police accessories must be compatible with all other components and not degrade the handling and characteristics or appearance ENGINE -Must be heavy duty police package. -Not less than 88 cubic inches, four stroke cycle, and fuel injection, air cooled, equipped with all standard accessories, air cleaner kit, spin on oil filter and oil cooler. INSTRUMENT AND CONTROLS Must have a speedometer in (KPH), odometer, reset able trip meter and a diagnostic readout. All controls should be in standard locations. SAFETY BARS Must have front and rear bars no wider than the handle bars. LIGHTING Must meet the requirement of the government of Japan. KEYS Must be equipped with (4) keys ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Must be 12 V system with circuit breakers or fused for protection. Minimum of 45-amp high output alternator and voltage protection. Must have a 12 volt power outlet for radar equipment. Heavy duty battery of minimum 30-amp/hr capacity to operate all running lights, emergency lights, radio, and electronic sire simultaneously with the engine running Must have 12 volt starting motor with solenoid engagement.
