- Description
- OFFADD: 6 CONS/LGCB 2606 Brown Pelican Ave., MacDill AFB, FL. 33621-5000 SUBJECT: Mobile 800 MHz Combiner DUE: 22 August 2006, 1200 EST. POC: TSgt Daniel E. Abert, Contract Specialist, Phone: (813) 828-4724; Fax (813) 828-5111, Email: daniel.abert@macdill.af.mil DESC: JCSE at MacDill Air Force Base, FL is requesting information for a Mobile 800 MHz Combiner. This is a Request for Information (RFI) ONLY. It is not a Request for Proposal (or solicitation) or an indication a contractual commitment will exist for this requirement. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS RFI OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. The purpose of this market research (Source Sought Synopsis) is to determine if a Mobile 800 MHz Combiner unit is commercially available by a company that can provide five (5) systems. The Mobile 800 MHz Combiner sought will have the following specifications: Each hand held radio; transmit in the 851 to 868 MHz range, the same radio then receives in the 861 to 813 MHz range, each radio transmit and/or receives independent of the operation mode of any other radio, a uniform 45 MHz split is always maintained, 25 KHz channel bandwidth is native to the system, max output of each radio is 5 watts, minimal coaxial cable loss is expected as the cable from a radio to combiner is no longer than 3? feet (1 meter) long, each individual radio output signal(s) are routed to a broadband RF amplifier that supports the transmit range and offers minimal return path loss (RPL) in the receive frequency band, to overcome any significant return path loss of the RF amp, an LNA is mounted directly under the antenna with a bias ?I? line after the combiner to supply power to the LNA, the combiner must have a DC voltage block at its output, the antenna is a Sensor Systems, broadband aircraft antenna with a frequency range of 800 to 1220 MHz, isolation between mobiles >80dB, connectors: N type female, mechanical: 14U with fans, power consumption: 30 Amps @ 28V. Firms responding to this RFI are asked to provide the following information in their initial response: company?s full name, business size, address, point of contact, and a clear indication as to whether or not they can provide the item the government is seeking.. Final responses to this RFI will be due on 22 August 2006, 1200 EST.. Responses will be reviewed and may result in further clarifications to further explore commercial capabilities with selected respondents. As industry may expect to see portions of submitted information in future solicitations, portions of the response containing proprietary information should be clearly marked as such. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents. Oral submissions of information are not acceptable and will not be accepted in response to this notice.
