- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement, FA4861-06-Q-B018, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-06. The NAICS code for this is 443112. The size standard for a small business under this NAICS code is $8.0 million. This RFQ is being submitted as a restricted solicitation open to small businesses only. This is a solicitation for commercial items. Requirement: NOTE: A site visit will be conducted at 0900 on 16 August, 2006 at Nellis, AFB. Email 2LT Amy Ciaravolo at amy.ciaravolo@nellis.af.mil or call at 702-652-7022 by 12 noon (PST) on 15 August to inform of intent to attend. After site visit, this RFQ will be amended if any changes are made to the requirement. Site visit minutes will be made available upon request to any interested parties. Quotes are due on or before 5:00pm Tuesday, 22 Auguest 2006 Pacific Daylight Time. ************************************** Site Visit Minutes Following is what was discussed/transpired at the site visits at the 16 WPS for the Audio/Visual requirement posted to FedBizOps, RFQ: AMY-FA4861-06-Q-B018. Site visits were held on 16 August and 18 August. -On both occasions, interested parties were escorted through the location where equipment will be placed/installed. -The required equipment is to be placed/installed in the 4 briefing rooms, with the end result such that they look similar to the 2 already renovated briefing rooms (except that they will only have 2 plasma TVs on the wall, whereas the existing 2 rooms have 3 TVs). -The recorders on the shelves in the briefing rooms will be remaining in the room -The TVs will not need computer hookups -VCR outputs: BNC; Audio Outputs: RCA -No VTC required/no upscaling necessary -TVs will be wall mounted (just like the two finished briefing rooms) Following are the responses to the questions asked at the site visits and later posed by contractors via email and phone: -The TV cables will be run through the wall (just like the finished briefing rooms) The contractor will be required to do this. -The type of cables they should use should be included with the quad splitter; cables are to be PLENUM rated cables -PLEASE INCLUE IN QUOTE: a 1-year parts and labor price. (this has been added to the requirement's list) Note: The customer WILL NOT pay for out-of-state contractors travel expenses. -PLEASE INCLUDE IN QUOTE: removal and disposal of the existing cabinets in the 4 briefing rooms. The 16th will DRMO the TVs. Everything else will need taken out of the rooms and disposed of.
