Description
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Oak Ridge Office (ORO), is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Information Technology Support Services for its multiple offices in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Services may also be required for offices outside of the Oak Ridge, Tennessee, area which are the responsibility of ORO. Services to be provided include, but are not limited to, resources and integrated project management, information engineering and systems development, end user and related support, and network and cyber security operations. A detailed description of the work to be performed is set forth in Part I, Section C, of the RFP. This acquisition is set-aside for 8(a) certified firms under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 541519. Proposals (Volumes I, II, and III) must be received electronically through the DOE???s Industry Interactive Procurement System (IIPS) before 2:00 p.m., local prevailing time, August 24, 2006, in accordance with the attached RFP package. The provisions of FAR 52.215-1 in Section L will apply to late proposals. The contract will have a period of performance not to exceed five years consisting of a one-year base period and four one-year option periods. It is anticipated that one time and materials/indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contract will result from this solicitation and the contract will be based on that contract type. Proposals will be evaluated in accordance with applicable DOE acquisition regulations. Please completely and thoroughly read this solicitation. Complete and return the Intention to Propose form in Section L at the earliest possible time. Questions to the RFP must be received within 14 days of the issuance of this solicitation through the IIPS system. All amendments to this solicitation will be posted on the IIPS system and no website will be maintained specific to this procurement. It will be the responsibility of the offeror to routinely examine the IIPS system for any amendments that may be issued. The offeror is encouraged to register for this procurement through IIPS and notices of amendments and messages will be sent to them directly through the system. The Government reserves the right not to respond to questions after the established deadline.
