- Description
- The Naval Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to solicit and negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract with Clarke-Hess, 43-24 21st Street, Long Island City, NY 11101, for 6 combined Phase Angle Voltmeter and Signal Generator. This Voltmeter and Signal Generator is used to perform fault location and functional tests on Engine Control and Flap Control Panels. It can produce the required UUT LVFT input signal with the aid of its own voltmeter for verification, and can measure the UUT IVDT phase angle voltage outputs to high accuracy. The maximum output voltage from the signal will be 8.5 volts RMS. The maximum output current is 50 MA RMS. The output of the generator is a constant voltage source. This modified version of the Clark-Hess Model 2500 has a special calibrated output of 1870 HZ to meet requirements of the V-22. The Clark Hess, Phase Angle Voltmeter will be housed in a ruggedized carrying case, and will be provided with a complete user's manual. The Government intends to procure this equipment under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation Section 60.302-1. Clarke-Hess is considered the only supplier, as they have sufficiently modified an existing product to meet the needs of the Government. However, the Government will consider all responses received within 15 days after the publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
