Description
This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for the following commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request For Quote (RFQ). Submit written offers (oral offers will not be accepted), on RFQ # F3V3LS6221A100. IAW FAR 252.204-7004, all firms or individuals responding must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-12 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. Description of requirements: 0001 - Vehicles required for IG Team for 82 TRW ORI: Request 55 mid-size or larger Sedans be delivered to South Ramp parking lot at Randolph AFB, TX no later than 10:00 am, 22 Sep 2006. Vehicles will be delivered and returned with a full gas tank. Vehicles must have a valid registration and state inspection sticker or any locally required state inspections that will not expire during the duration of the contract and will be free of damage, i.e., cracked windshields, low tire pressure, alignment problems, check engine lights, odors (smoke), body damage, etc. Contractor is responsible for furnishing motor oil, anti-freeze, washer fluid, etc., and will perform all maintenance on vehicles and be responsible for emergency repairs and services. Any vehicle returned without a full tank will be charged at end of contract. Unlimited mileage within the State of Texas. Insurance is not required since Government is self-insured. Replacement vehicle to be delivered to either drop-off location or the Sheppard AFB TX IG work center parking lot within one (1) hour should a mechanical problem occur with any vehicle. Early return penalty will not be applied. The government will be reimbursed for any vehicle returned early for the dollar amount not used. Vehicles will be returned to the drop-off location between 1 ? 3 Oct 2006. Contract period is 22 ? 3 Oct 2006. All vehicles must be provided by one source. The contractor must contact the HQ AETC/IG POC no later than 1200 pm on 8 Sep 2006 to establish vehicle delivery schedule and provide a list of rental vehicles via e-mail/fax no later than 20 Sep 2006 containing the following information: make, model, license plate number, and rental unit/serial number.
