Description
NAICS Code: 334210 US Environmental Protection Agency intends to award a sole source fixed-price Purchase Order to acquire licensing for 32 already existing ports on the Octel Voice Mail System which is currently being maintained by the incumbent, Shared Technologies. The EPA intends to acquire these licenses from Shared Technologies, 2550 Eisenhower Avenue, Valley Forge, PA. The purpose of this requirement is due to the growth of number of users and the need to upgrade the Octel 250 System. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotation. The determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is based on procuring these licenses from another source would possibly not only jeopardize the current contract for the system but also possibly cause disruption of the system due to two different vendors handling the system concurrently. Award date is anticipated on or near September 5, 2006. No request for quotation is available. Parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this requirement. Responses to this announcement should reference RFQ-0611-DTJ and should be submitted to jones.denise-t@epa.gov. Oral communications would not be honored in response to this notice. This Procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), FAR 13. Award will be based on firm fixed-price. This Is Not A Small Business Set-Aside. The following clauses are hereby incorporated by reference: 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (Sept. 2005), 52.204-3 Taxpayers Identification (Oct 1998). The contract will incorporate one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. Upon request, the contracting officer will make their full text available. Also, the full text of any clause may be accessed electronically at this address: www.arnet.gov/far
