Description
The National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration requires dry docking and miscellaneous ship repairs to the KA?IMIMOANA, a T-AGOS Class ship. Repairs will be performed at contractor?s facility. Period of performance will be 20 Dec 06 - 23 Feb 07. Repairs and replacements will include but are not limited to drydocking, underwater body and equipment inspection, underwater body preservation, hull preservation, ground tackle inspection and repair, repair sea valves, clean and polish propellers, inspect and repair rudders, hull zinc replacement, inspect and repair bow thruster, repair ELINCA anti-biofouling system, overhaul and repair main propulsion generator engine, crane replacement, deck crane repair, modifications to binnacle foundation/deck penetration, and main mast replacement. A ship check will be made available on or about 26-27 September in Honolulu, HI. The Government anticipates award of a fixed price contract. The ESTIMATED contract award date is 13 Nov, 2006. An Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation will be available on or about 15 Sept, 2006, through the Government?s website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The ESTIMATED response due date is 17 Oct, 2006. Interested parties should use the FedBizOpps REGISTER to RECEIVE NOTIFICATION and REGISTER AS AN INTERESTED VENDOR feature which provides notification when the RFP becomes available for download and all postings associated with the solicitation.
