Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Air Vehicle Modification and Instrumentation Group have a requirement for a Solid State Digital Playback Unit with Flange mount, 15 (ea), p/n: DTU-4500-2. These units are part of a Teletronics Technology Airborne Instrumentation system. The government intends to procure this equipment from Teletronics Technology Corp., 15 Terry Drive, Newtown, PA. These units must accept a ?datablock? module from TTC solid state recorders. The ?datablock? is a storage module that plugs into the solid state recorders and is the medium that the data is recorded on. The datablock must plug into these playback units in order to play back the data that has been recorded. No other company makes a product that is compatible, either electrically or mechanically, with the datablocks used by the TTC recorders. All capabilities statements received by 2:30 PM Eastern Standard Time, 8 Sep 2006, will be considered by the Government solely for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. Technical capability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted in response to this provision. Therefore, it is incumbent on the interested party to provide sufficient technical literature, documentation, etc., in order for the Government to make an adequate technical assessment of capabilities of the alternate equipment. The government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis based upon the responses received. The Government will not pay for any information received.
