- Description
- The United States Government, represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development Mission to Indonesia (USAID/Indonesia) is seeking proposals from qualified organizations interested in providing the services to implement the program as fully described in the attached solicitation. This is a full and open competition, under which any type of organization, large or small, commercial (for profit) firms or non-profit organizations, are eligible to compete. The prime contract award will be restricted to only U.S. firms and organizations. Subcontractors under the prime contract may be to other than U.S. firms. The use of local Indonesian firms as subcontractors is highly encouraged. The procedures set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15 shall apply. The selected prime contractor will be responsible to implement cohesive and comprehensive conservation support activities for key, strategically selected orangutan populations - on both Sumatra and Kalimantan. The period of performance for the proposed contract is approximately three years from the effective date through September 30, 2009. The U.S. Government estimated value of this procurement is between $7.5 and $8 million. Funding will be provided incrementally over the period of the contract. Offerors wishing to participate in this procurement are required to submit proposals in two separate volumes, as follows: Volume 1 as the Technical Proposal (original plus five copies) and Volume 2 as the Cost Proposal (original plus two copies). Proposals are to be submitted no later than 3:00 p.m. Jakarta time, October 17, 2006 by U.S. mail or courier. The offeror must propose costs that it believes are realistic and reasonable for the work. Cost proposals shall be evaluated as part of a best value determination for contract award.
