- Description
- CH2M HILL Hanford Group, Inc. (CH2M HILL), as a prime contractor to the U.S. Department of Energy, is seeking businesses that can provide equipment that use electrical resistivity to monitor and detect for leaks from large underground storage tanks. Specifically, CH2M HILL is interested in firms that have experience in providing such a monitoring system for tanks that are buried as deep as 50 feet below groundsurface (at the bottom of the tank). Further, the company must possess the ability to process the gathered data to estimate the volume of liquid leaked from a tank. The equipment must: be capable of continuous monitoring, maximize the use of tank farm infrastructure, and not require the installation of electrodes that are longer than 8 feet. The data collected by the system shall be capable of being translated to a Probability to Detect of 95% with a Probablity of False Alarm of 5% along with the associated leak size.
