Description

The contractor is to build, test, and deliver consumable packs to be used with the Joint Biological Point Detection System. The contractor is required to build and test the consumable packs in accordance with the attached Performance Specification, E A-PRF-C-2268 (dated Jan-2006). Estimated order quantities and additional contract requirements are detailed in the RFP. This is a 5-year effort, but the Government is only obligated to place an order for the minimum dollar value stated in the RFP within on e year of contract award. All work is unclassified. There are nine distinct configurations of the JBPDS consumable packs: 1) Liquid Consumable Mission Pack: a box that includes a 1-liter bottle of Phosphate Buffer Solution (PBS), a 1-liter bottle of DI Water, and a 250-mL bottle of Detergent; all three bottles are capped with a sterile septum closure. All liquids shall be st erile and contaminate free. 2) Sample Bottle Consumable Pack: a box that includes two 250-mL sample bottles. Both bottles are capped with a sterile septum closure. The bottles interior shall be sterile. 3) Sample Vial Consumable Pack: a box of 100 plastic sample vials with rubber stoppers. The vials shall be sterile. 4) Dry Collection Kit (DC Kit) Consumable Pack: one box which consists of a plastic extraction bottle with PBS, a pair of forceps, and a circular disk filter. 5) Bulk PBS: One box that includes 18, one-liter bottles of PBS. 6) Bulk DI Water: One box that includes 18, one-liter bottles of DI Water. 7) Bulk Detergent: One box that includes 63, 250-milliliter bottles of Detergent. 8) Bulk Sample Bottles: One box that includes 63, 250-milliliter, empty sample bottles. 9) Trainer Pack: One box that includes a one-liter bottles of PBS, a one-liter bottles of DI Water, one 250-liter bottles of Detergent, one empty 250-milliter sample bottle, and four sample vials. Inside the box, the four vials shall be further packaged in to their own carton.
