Description

The USDA, Office of Procurement and Property Management, Procurement Operations Division intends to award a lease contract to Pitney Bowes Inc. for the Pitney Bowes Series 9 and APS Direct Connect insertion units, as well as Infinity/Digital Postal Meters. The systems are located at the United States Department of Agriculture, National Finance Center, New Orleans, LA. The period of performance shall be one-year base period and four renewal options. USDA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Pitney Bowes. This acquisition is being procured under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) test program authorized in FAR 13.5. This acquisition is a sole source. Proposed contract action is for supplies or services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The applicable (NAICS) North American Industry Classification System Code is 333313 and the size standard is 1000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. No solicitation exists. All interested parties shall respond to this notice within 10 days in writing to Ellery Taylor at ellery.taylor@usda.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted.
