Description

The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System anticipates awarding a sole source procurement to Siemens Water Technologies for the preventive maintenance of the following items (reverse osmosis systems, class II medical equipment) for the period October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007: (1) US Filter Water purification system, serial # 062394-04; (2) US Filter portable water purification system, serial # 059653-01; (3) US Filter portable water purification system, serial # 059226-01; and (4) US Filter portable water purification system, serial # 059470-01. All work will be performed at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System, Dialysis Area, Room 4D129, Bldg. 100, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, FL 33744. Service will include unlimited emergency calls during normal government working hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am through 4:30 pm) for all equipment malfunctions. Contractor must respond within eight (8) working hours of receipt of phone call from Bay Pines. Price of contract shall include all travel, labor and preventive maintenance parts (no repair parts). NAICS code # 811310 applies to this procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation will be issued, however, all quotations received on or before 4:00 PM, EST, September 8, 2006, will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The anticipated award date is on or before September 22, 2006.
