Description
This announcement constitutes a Notice of Proposed Contract Action for a non-competitive acquisition to be negotiated with Lyme Computer Systems, One Lyme Common, Lyme, New Hampshire, for the purpose of ordering and acquiring 11 Wiebetech RAID RT5-3750 storage devices for housing the Geospatial Product Library portion of the Data Integration Segment of the Eagle Vision Program. Eagle Vision is the DoD?s only deployable commercial ground station to directly receive and process imagery data from commercial, remote-sensing satellites and has a need for multiple RAID RT5 Storage Devices for housing the Geospatial Product Library which will be populated by the 480th Intelligence Squadron. The uniquely specified RAID equipment is dictated by the 480th and their experience populating these items. The equipment that is required is summarized below: 11 Wiebetech RT-5 RAID Storage Devices (RT-3750). This version of the RT5 comes with five 750 GB 7200 RPM drives. There will be a minimum of 2TB of usable space with approximately 2.8TB of total usable space. 11 USB Cable A to B, 6?, USB 2.0 Responses due no later than 15 Sep 06, 2:00 PM EDT. This synopsis is for planning purposes only, and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). Nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The information you provide will be evaluated to identify qualified potential offerors. ESC will not release to any firm, agency, or individual outside the Government, any information marked with a proprietary legend without the written permission from the respondent. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this synopsis, nor will the Government compensate a respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to ESC. An ESC Ombudsman has been appointed to consider and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. Before consulting the Ombudsman concerned parties should first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendation to the Contracting Officer for resolution. In addition, AFFARS 5352.201-9101, Ombudsman, will be included in this acquisition's solicitation and contract.
